Beatrice Sue Porter, age 82, born July 28, 1942 born to parents Walker William and Margaret Jane Bratton Johnson passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2024. She retired from the Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance in 2003.
She is preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Mitchell Porter; baby daughter who lived only 4 hours; siblings, Louise White, Mary Walker Martin, Gloria Fisher, Geneva English, Johnny Johnson, Jerry Johnson,James Robert Johnson and William Johnson.
Survived by her husband, Kenneth Garrett Porter Jr.; sons, James Kevin Porter and Charles William Porter (Melissa); granddaughter, Emily and adopted granddaughter, Chloe; sister, Janice Balentine (Edwin)
A Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
A visitation will be held prior to the service from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
