Bernice Miller

Born on July 30, 1924, in Murfreesboro, TN to Mr. Ephren (Hall) and Mrs. Minnie Viola Simpson. She was faithfully wed for 40+ years to her beloved husband, Mr. Jess F. Miller, until they were parted by death in 1985. Bernice retired from DuPont after 32 years of service. She was later employed by Sam’s Wholesale Club as a “Sample Lady” alongside her dear friend, LaVon, until their retirement in 2011. She was a faithful member at Faith Baptist Church in Madison, TN.

Bernice is survived by granddaughter Ms. Cathy Miller Meeks and grandson Mr. Steven (Anita) Miller; great-grandchildren Ryan Miller, Mattie Miller, Emily Miller, and Logan Meeks; niece Ms. L Dianne Gilbert; great nephews Carl McCoy and Michael McCoy; and numerous friends and extended family. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Mr. Jess F. Miller; parents Mr. Ephren Hall Simpson and Mrs. Minnie Simpson; sister Gertrude Bell Adams; son Raymond C. Miller; daughter-in-law Sandra B. Miller.

The family will receive friends on Monday, February 27th, 2023 from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm with a Celebration of Life to begin at 2:00 pm in the chapel; burial to follow all at Forest Lawn Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, located at 1150 S. Dickerson Pike, Goodlettsville, TN, 37072.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that you make a monetary donation to either Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child or Compassion International.
