Betsy Renee West

Betsy Renee West, age 63, of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on Monday, November 3, 2025. Betsy was born Saturday, August 18, 1962 in Shelbyville, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her brother Billy West and parents, William and Elizabeth McMurtry West.

Betsy grew up in Madison, Tennessee and was a 1980 graduate of Madison High School. She retired from Old Hickory Credit Union after 30 years of service. An avid football fan you could see her watching her beloved Vanderbilt Commodores or Dallas Cowboys on any given Saturday or Sunday. She also had a great joy of music often listening to 80’s rock especially Fleetwood Mac. You never left Betsy’s presence without hearing her say “I love you”.

She leaves behind daughters Brittany Ussery, Chasedie Hall, grandchildren Riannon and Chase, niece Stephanie Pierce, nephew Trey West and devoted sister-in-law Gwen Waddell.

Family and friends will gather to remember Betsy at a visitation to be held Friday, November 7, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home.

A celebration of life will be Friday, November 7, 2025 at 12:00 PM. in the chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home 1150 S Dickerson Pike, Goodlettsville, Tennessee.

There will be a private graveside immediately following in the Garden of Meditation at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
