Betty Bowles Hester

In her lifetime, Betty was devoted to her faith, her family and her friends. For decades she was a faithful member of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church where she enjoyed attending Sunday School, being part of the women’s group and serving on committees.

Betty enjoyed dancing, sewing and reading. She was a lover of poetry, often reading or reciting favorite verses to her children.

Betty was cherished by her children. She dedicated her life to being a loving mother; her children, grand and great grand children were the light of her world. She will be remembered for her kindness and her warmth toward everyone.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Rachel Bowles.

Betty is survived by her children, Frank (Tracy) Hester; Beth (Scott Gilbert) Hester; Mary (Charles) Gragg; Carolyn (Tracy) Primrose; Bill Hester; and Michael (Melissa) Hester; and many loved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Monday, July 20th from 10AM until the hour of Service at 2PM held at Forest Lawn Funeral Home.

Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
