Retired from Kroger after 37 years, Mrs. Mathis is survived by daughter, Chauncey E. (Jimmy) Bean; son, Harold E. Mathis; sister, Laura Babb; grandsons, three great-granddaughters; nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be 10:00 Tuesday, September 2, 2014 in the chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home with entombment following in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Family and friends will gather to remember Mrs. Mathis at a visitation Monday, September 1, 2014 from 4:00 until 8:00 at Forest Lawn.
