Preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Dalton Carter; parents, Nelson and Lucille Carter; brothers, Billy Carter, Bud Carter and Sonny Carter; sisters, Minnie Wooten and Jackie Carter.
Survived by his wife, Pamela J. Carter; brother, Pat Carter; sisters, Mary Powell, Charlotte Ryan and Judy Railey; a host of other family members.
A funeral service will be conducted at 12pm Friday, April 17,2026 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Michael Lee Frazer officiating. A Military Burial will follow in the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens with Karry King, Jason Frazer, Jon Frazer, Matt Frazer, Joseph Dennis and Michael Dennis serving as pallbearers.
Visitation with the family will be held Thursday from 4pm until 8pm and Friday 10am until 12pm at the funeral home.
