She attended Dickerson Road Baptist Church and was a Sunday school teacher for many years. She was a devoted Christian and studied the Bible every day. She also enjoyed reading all types of religious books.
She was born January 4, 1933 to the late Max E. Chambers and Lessie Thompson Chambers of Old Hickory, TN.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, James Wallace Burke; her two sisters, Virginia Tubbs and Nancy Burge; and son-in-law Kent White.
Maxine is survived by her two daughters, Kathy (Donnie) Tyree and Vicki White; grandchildren Troy White, Brent (Ashley) Hull, and Dustin (Erin) Tyree and their children Aria and Merebes.
