Bobby loved his family more than anything, but he also enjoyed many, many hobbies including: traveling the world with the love of his life, Brenda, photography and videography, coin collecting, sport shooting and hunting. He enjoyed doing anything outdoors including camping, hiking, fishing, etc. A social sportsman who always looked for a game to play. From bowling, billiards and table tennis, to softball and volleyball leagues, to card games and yard games, there wasn't a game that he didn't enjoy. He was a master craftsman, a great cook, painter, and gardener.
Bobby was a lifetime volunteer, coach and teacher. He served in the United States Navy (1969–1973) as a Medical Corpsman. He was actively involved in church and his community. He loved volunteering in numerous organizations and ministries including: little league baseball coach, church league softball coach, Cub Scout Master and Boy Scout Master, Royal Ambassadors Camp Craft Director, TWRA Hunter Safety Instructor, Outreach Outdoors church program Director, Room In The Inn Director (at his church), Upwards basketball coach, referee and photographer, Children's Bible Drill teacher, dedicated missionary to Venezuela and Peru, Deacon, and Sunday School teacher. I'm sure we forgot something, but seriously.
In his spare time, he worked for Metro Parks and Recreation (35 years) and served as a Board Member of US Community Credit Union.
Everything listed above was done for two reasons... Love of God and the Love of life, family and friends.
