She also sewed blankets for the Dickerson Road Baptist Church (DRBC) mission. Carole grew up in Grace Baptist Church and was a member of DRBC for 60 plus years.
Her interests and hobbies were varied. She enjoyed 10 seasons of races at Nashville Speedway, Nascar, several seasons of Tennessee and Vandy football, Lady Vols basketball. She was a voracious reader and enjoyed watching Andy, Gunsmoke, and westerns. She was known for her amazing cooking, especially her pimento cheese, world class turkey sandwiches for Black Friday shopping and of course peanut butter fudge.
