Age 84, passed away July 19, 2014.
Survived by son, Steven Bessent; cousin, William Byrd.
Charles was a member of Central Church of Christ. He retired from Gibson Fiberglass Boats after 25 years.
A Celebration of his life will be held at 1 pm, Thursday, July 24, 2014, at Eastland Chapel, with Franklin Rushing officiating. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be Wednesday, 5-8 pm.
Arrangements are under the direction of Eastland Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Nashville, TN.
