Charles Edward Chipman

Charles Edward Chipman, age 87, of Hendersonville, Tennessee passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2023. Charles was born Friday, June 7, 1935 in Ripley, Tennessee. He graduated from Memphis State University in 1961 with a degree in accounting and owned his own practice in Hendersonville for 30 years. He was a loving husband for 64 years to Marge Chipman. They lived on Old Hickory Lake for 50 years where they raised their two sons, Charles and Christopher Chipman, along with grandchildren and great grandchildren. Charles loved being the captain of the four cees traveling from home to any given destination, and teaching his grandchildren how to fish, swim, and work in the yard. He is preceded in death by, his two sons Charles Chipman III, Christopher Chipman, brother Jimmy Chipman and sisters Inez Thomas and Martha Ann Bailey. He is survived by his wife, Marge Chipman and grandchildren; Elizabeth Parrott, Grady Chipman, Channing Chipman, Cate Chipman, Chas Chipman, and Caroline Chipman. He had 4 great grandchildren. A gathering of friends for Charles will be held Saturday, February 4, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1150 South Dickerson Pike, Goodlettsville, Tennessee.
