Charles W. Malone

Mr. Charles Willoughby Malone, age 76, passed away Sunday, December 22, 2013. A Science teacher he was born in Old Hickory, Tennessee June 26, 1936 and is preceded in death by his parents, Charles Howard and Lela Brown Willoughby Malone.

An Army veteran, he received a parachutist badge, he was on the LeClerc Rifle team and was stationed in Germany. he enjoyed fishing, and hunting quail with his bird dogs, especially his favorite, Jack; he also loved quarter horses and even competed in water skiing.

Mr. Malone is survived by his wife Joelene B. Malone; daughters, Lisa Davis; Sherry (Doug) Kernodle; son, Kenny Richardson; brother, Jimmy (Martha) Malone; grandchildren, Rachel, Mary, Lindsey, Becky and Frankie, who loving refer to him as “Poo-pa”.

Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 Friday, December 27, 2013 in the chapel at Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Bro. Rod Vannoy and Bro. Ray Biggs officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Family and friends will gather to remember Mr. Malone at a visitation Thursday, December 26, 2013 from 3:00 until 8:00 and Friday December 27, 2013 from 10:00 until 12:00 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home 1150 South Dickerson Rd. Goodlettsville, TN 37072
