Born on February 7, 1944, Chloe lived a life defined by her kind spirit, deep love for her family, and a joy that she shared generously with all who knew her.
Chloe was a proud 1962 graduate of Maplewood High School, where she was celebrated for her basketball skills and remembered in her senior quote as “a lively girl who is always ready for a good time.” That spirit never faded - whether behind the wheel of a fast car, on the dance floor with music playing, or filling a room with laughter and conversation, Chloe made life brighter for those around her. Her long-time friends affectionately called her “motor mouth,” a nickname that spoke to her quick wit, energy, and gift for connection.
Above all, Chloe cherished her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose care and love will be carried forward for generations. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of fifty-eight years, John Carr. She is survived by her children, Missy Carr Fyke (David) and Chris Carr (Tabetha); grandchildren, Matthew Fyke (Brea), Sarah Fyke Capps (Chris), Jacob Carr (Madison), Gracie Carr, and Mary Fyke; and six great-grandchildren who brought her immeasurable joy.
Her legacy is one of laughter, love, and family - memories of a woman who sang, danced, cheered, and cared with all her heart. She will be missed deeply and remembered always.
The family will be hosting a private graveside to honor Chloe’s life.
