Connie Elizabeth Spurlock Dabbs - age 77 passed away Thursday, May 24, 2012. Born Tuesday November 20, 1934 in Nashville, TN to the late Connie Bruin and Nettie Elizabeth Brown Spurlock, she was a member of Riverside Baptist Church, she taught at Hume-Fogg and Glencliff High Schools; assistant principal at Hunters Lane; honorary member of Alpha Delta Kappa and a member and past president of the Elks.
Preceded in death by her parents and husband, Robert E. Dabbs, Sr., she is survived by her children Christie Cherry, Robert E. (Monica) Dabbs, Jr., Robert Brandon Dabbs; sisters Deana Richardson, Shirley Derrick; brother Ronald Campbell; grandchildren Brandon Dabbs, Brett Dabbs, Lauren-Paige Dabbs, Ashley Dabbs; great-grandchild Kennedy Dabbs.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Tuesday May 29, 2012 in the chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Johnny Duval officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardnes. Pallbearers will be David Derrick, Joe Derrick, Phillip Derrick, Michael Green, Pat Nolan and Kevin Massey.
Family and friends will gather to remember Mrs. Dabbs at a visitation Monday May 28, 2012 from 2:00 until 8:00 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home 1150 Dickerson Rd. Goodlettsville.
