David Lee Garvin

He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry Lee and Ophelia (Jones) Garvin; son, David Barry Garvin; sister, Roberta Williams; brother, Albert Garvin; beloved aunt, Ethel Garvin.

He enjoyed raising Bluetick Hounds, with his brother, Albert. He also loved to hunt, fish, and was an avid sports fan, with his favorite team being Alabama-Crimson Tide. Above all things, he was a Christian and loved the Lord.

He is survived by his sons, Thomas Garvin, Jeff Garvin, Scottie Minchey; daughters, Kathy White, Sherrie Harmon, and her husband, Tim, Leslie Garvin; grandchildren, Courtney, Thomas Lee, Jr., Barry, Chasity, Hannah, and Katie; great-grandchildren, Addison and Robin; sisters, Rose Chockley, Wanda O'Kain, and husband, Ken; special friend, Vivian Cothran. Mr. Garvin is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

A gathering of family and friends for David will be held Tuesday, August 16, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 1150 South Dickerson Road, Goodlettsville, TN 37072, followed by a celebration of life service at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
