David was preceded in death by his parents, John and Nettie Keith, and his grandson, Harold Grisham III.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Martin; his daughters, Lisa Vandenburg, Peggy Keith, Penny Morris, and Helen Grisham; his step-daughter, Mary Powell; his step-son, Ronnie Brown; his sisters, Dorothy McCord, Sharon Hardaway, and Marsha Anderson; and many cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
David dedicated 35 years of his life as a steel worker with IKG before retiring, a career that reflected his strong work ethic and steady determination. He was a very intelligent man who could fix just about anything, always willing to lend a hand and solve whatever problem came his way.
Outside of work, David found joy in the simple things. He loved fishing and hunting, following sports, and spending time outdoors. Whether he was mowing the yard or sitting on the porch watching the birds, he appreciated the quiet moments of life just as much as the busy ones. Above all, he loved his family deeply and never met a stranger.
David also had a love for travel, especially trips to Cade’s Cove, where he enjoyed watching for bears and other wildlife. Those adventures were some of his favorite memories, filled with the beauty of nature and time spent with those he loved.
He will be remembered for his kindness, his knowledge, his hardworking spirit, and the warmth he shared so freely with others. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
