Deborah S. Hollis of Hendersonville, Tennessee, age 67, passed away on April 3, 2026. She was born on June 10, 1958, and will be remembered as a steady, loving presence in the lives of those who knew her.
Deborah was preceded in death by her mother, Marcia Shaffer, and her husband, Jimmy Kenneth Hollis.
She is survived by her father, Richard “Buddy” Shaffer, Jr.; her daughter, Leigh Ann (Ian) Knuckles; her sons, Frank Hardy and Dillon Hollis; her brothers, Richard “Rick” Shaffer, III and Joseph “Joe” (Candy) Shaffer; her cherished grandchildren, Bennett Knuckles, Ansleigh Knuckles, Corbin Hardy, Mila Hardy, Gunnar Hardy, and Vivienne Brenner; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Deborah found joy in life’s simple pleasures and the moments spent with the people she loved most. She was a devoted fan of Vanderbilt football and the Tennessee Titans, proudly holding season tickets, and she also enjoyed watching NASCAR. She loved the beach and being near the water, especially trips to Panama City. Holidays meant a great deal to her, with Christmas holding a particularly special place in her heart. She found deep purpose in her more than 30-year nursing career.
Above all, Deborah’s greatest love was her family, especially her grandchildren. She treasured every moment spent with them, and her love and devotion will be remembered always.
