Delana "Vera" Brewer

Delana “Vera” Brewer, 78, passed away Thursday, December 17, 2015. Born in Sumner County Wednesday, December 1, 1937 and is preceded in death by her parents, Herod and Lula Mai Roberson; brothers, Bobby and Tony Roberson.

Vera was a member of East Nashville General Baptist Church and worked as secretary for Christian Cooperative Ministries. She was a pianist and her family was her life.

Vera is survived by her husband of 55 years, Donald Brewer; children, Cindy (Jack) Loveday, Angela Baker, Donnie (Tanya) Brewer; sister, Kay (JR) Patterson; six grandchildren, Amber, Josh, Heather, Aaron, Chuck and Mandi; five great-grandchildren, Savannah, Nathan, Kevin, Addison and Ryker.

A celebration of life will be conducted 2:00 Monday, December 21, 2015 in the chapel of Forest Lawn with Bros. Bruce Lowhorn, Danny Everette and Roy Copeland officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be, Josh Brewer, Aaron Baker, Chuck Childress, Donnie Brewer, Jack Loveday, Joe Roberts.

Family and friends will gather to remember Vera at a visitation Sunday, December 20, 2015 from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m. and Monday, December 21, 2015 from 10:00 until the time of the service at 2:00.
