Delores Ruth Burton

Delores Ruth Burton - age 77 passed away Monday, July 16, 2012. She was born in Knoxville, TN Friday November 30, 1934 ot the late Noah Francis and Bessie Washam Vandergiff and is preceded in death by her husband Melvin Raymond Burton;

A member of Bellshire Assembly of God, she is survived by her daughters Sandra Burton, Gina Halliburton and Lisa (Lloyd) Burkett; grandchildren Amy Holt, Chris (Sonya) Wiley, Daniel (Kristin) Holt; 8 great-grandchildren; a multitude of nieces and nephews and great-grand-dog Kane. A special thanks to Alicia Alred, for her loving, tender care for our mom.

Mrs. Burton graduated in 1952 from Young High School, Knoxville, TN. A dedicated Registerd Nurse, she had a Masters in Nursing; was in the 1986 edition of Who’s Who in American Nursing.

Funeral services will be 12:00 Friday July 20, 2012 in the chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Pastors Scott Dobbins and Thomas Driver officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Daniel Holt, Chris Wiley, Taylor Wiley, Billy Burton, Rick Perry and Ronnie Brewer, Jr.

Family and friends will gather for a visitation to remember Mrs. Burton Wednesday, July 18, 2012 from 2:00 until 8:00 and Thursday, July 19, 2012 from 10:00 until 8:00 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home 1150 Dickerson Rd. Goodlettsville, TN
