Dixie Paradise Rochelle was born in Joelton, Tennessee to the late Felix and Novella Paradise where she was the 7th of 9 children. She moved to Nashville in 1945 where she married Robert Rochelle and had two children, Robert Wayne Rochelle and Sherry Rochelle Crutchfield. She has 3 grandchildren, Lisa Rochelle Lee, Kimberly Crutchfield Evans and Stacey Crutchfield Hayes and 5 great-grandchildren, Daniel, Josh and Tyler Evans and Lauren and Matthew Hayes.
She was a member of Dickerson Road Baptist Church in Nashville where she attended with her family before moving to Hendersonville, Tennessee in 1984.
She is preceded in death my her husband of 40 years, Robert Rochelle. Dixie was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was a dependable, caring, fun loving grandmother who was best known as Meme. She showed her love through her actions and words. She would always say she loved you. Whenever anyone needed her she was there. She taught us all the importance of thrift and hard work all while have a good time.
She was always there for her family, although she might not always agree with you, she would support you in you decisions.
Meme, we all love you and you will be truly missed.
A celebration of life will be conducted 10:00 Saturday, December 15, 2018 in the chapel at Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Rev. Philip Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be, Daniel Evans, Joshua Evans, Jeffrey Hayes, Robert Evans, Randy Lee and Tyler Evans.
Family and friends will gather to remember Mrs. Rochelle at a visitation Friday, December 14, 2018 from 4:00 until 8:00 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
