Dorothy Jean Bridgers, age 80; passed away Sunday, October 14, 2018 in Homestead, Florida. She was born in Nashville, Tennessee Tuesday, January 4, 1938 and is preceded in death by her parents; J. T. (Bill) and Willie Irene Neely Suits and husband, Billy I. Bridgers; daughter, Debora Stewart.
An agent for Lincoln Life Insurance, she is survived by her daughter Carol Mertens and husband, Kent; sisters, Joyce Davidson, Brenda Pelfrey; grandchildren, Kathleen Mertens, Kent W. Mertens, Domonick Stewart; great-grandchild, Kat Stewart and three great-great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be conducted 3:00 Saturday, October 20, 2018 in the chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Rev. Louise Cole officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Family and friends will gather to remember Mrs. Bridgers at a visitation Saturday, October 20, 2018 from 12:00 until the service at 3:00.
