Born in Robertson Co. Tennessee in 1928, Dottie was the 5th of 11 children. Eventually known for her strong work ethic, fierce independence and remarkable spirit of service and generosity, Dottie maintained her bright smile, productive energy and strong determination until the very end. Perhaps the greatest accomplishment of her life was passing down these traits, and many other endearing qualities to her 3 children, Nancy, Mike and Melissa as well as her 6 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Dottie will also be remembered fondly by the many customers and co-workers who grew to love her during her long career in customer service at Giant Foods and Sam’s Club.

She is survived by her children Nancy Wenberg, Mike Elliott (Vicki Elliott), Melissa Carter (Thomas Carter) and grandchildren Steve Elliott (Jennifer Elliott), Jennifer White (Robin White), Paul Hogg (Amy Hogg), Jake Elliott (Hana Elliott), Jordan Wenberg (Jennifer Wenberg) and Lauren Wenberg. She also had 11 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements have been made at Forest Lawn Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens in Goodlettsville, TN. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 17th from 4:00-8:00p and on Thursday July 18th at 9:00a. A Celebration of Life service will be held at the same location on Thursday, July 18th at 10:00a followed by graveside service at Owens Chapel Cemetery in Springfield, TN.
