Dottie Crabtree Elliott
October 10, 1928 – July 14, 2019
On Sunday morning, July 14, 2019, in Hendersonville, TN, Dottie Crabtree Elliott left this earth to claim the eternal body God prepared for her. Dottie was 90 years old.
Born in Robertson Co. Tennessee in 1928, Dottie was the 5th of 11 children. Eventually known for her strong work ethic, fierce independence and remarkable spirit of service and generosity, Dottie maintained her bright smile, productive energy and strong determination until the very end. Perhaps the greatest accomplishment of her life was passing down these traits, and many other endearing qualities to her 3 children, Nancy, Mike and Melissa as well as her 6 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Dottie will also be remembered fondly by the many customers and co-workers who grew to love her during her long career in customer service at Giant Foods and Sam’s Club.
Dottie was preceded in death by her brothers Robert Lee Crabtree, Bob Emery Crabtree, Woodrow Crabtree, Bill Crabtree and her sisters Linda Dunnavant, Gertrude Duke, Mary Walton...
She is survived by her children Nancy Wenberg, Mike Elliott (Vicki Elliott), Melissa Carter (Thomas Carter) and grandchildren Steve Elliott (Jennifer Elliott), Jennifer White (Robin White), Paul Hogg (Amy Hogg), Jake Elliott (Hana Elliott), Jordan Wenberg (Jennifer Wenberg) and Lauren Wenberg. She also had 11 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements have been made at Forest Lawn Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens in Goodlettsville, TN. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 17th from 4:00-8:00p and on Thursday July 18th at 9:00a. A Celebration of Life service will be held at the same location on Thursday, July 18th at 10:00a followed by graveside service at Owens Chapel Cemetery in Springfield, TN.
For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands.

Dottie Summers Bogan
July 15, 2019
Dot was so special to me. I was named after her. Dot and my dad (JC Summers) were very close when he was with us. Dot and my dad's birthdays were a day apart. They always would pick on each other on who was older. I remember every birthday growing up she had to make my cake. She and I dreamed for her to make my wedding cake but cause of an ice storm she could not. No matter where we were stationed she would send cards and notes. I love her so much. RIP Dot and give daddy a big hug for me. Prayers to the family at this difficult time.
