Preceded in death by parents, Mr. and Mrs. H.W. Moore; her husband of 39 years, Jack R. Scheffel; brother, Wilson Moore.
Survived by daughter, Janet Hall; grandsons, Jonathan (Jenifer), Stephen (Kelly) and Adam Hall; great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Emma and Abigail; sister, Maxine Herdman; son-in-law, Charles Hall.
Mrs. Scheffel was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She valued her family and was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church.
A celebration of her life will be held 10 a.m., Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at graveside in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be 2-8 p.m., Monday, at Eastland Funeral Home.
