A graduate of Overton High School and having worked for the State of Tennessee as Administrator in the Department of Health, she is suvived by her husband of 31 years, Robert D. Burgess; daughters, Katie and Isabella Skye Burgess; son, Justin Burgess; sister Pamela (Michael) Hardaway. Queenie was a Foster Mother to many.
Funeral services will be 2:00 Saturday afternoon, November 10, 2012 in the chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Larry Lamb officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers are Pamela Hardaway, Michael Hardaway, Justin Burgess, Jessica Rager, Robert Burgess and Beth Biggs.
