Elizabeth Gober Lundy, 95, passed away Thursday, February 2, 2017. She was born in Goodlettsville, Tennessee Tuesday, April 19, 1921; she is preceded in death by her husband of 75 years, Charles Mark Lundy; parents, Emmett and Maggie Gober; sisters, Annie Edwards, Margaret Edwards, Josie Reynolds, Ellen Nichols; brothers, Emmett, T. J., William, Neil, Louie, Porter and Phillip Gober.
Mrs. Lundy is survived by her daughter, Marsha Lundy (Tommy) O’Neal; Sister, Mary Galloway; 2 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
A homemaker, Elizabeth was well known in the Goodlettsville area for her Bible teaching, cooking, church and community work, but mostly for her love of Jesus and family. Many thanks to the staff at Hickory Hills of Hendersonville for their loving care and attention.
A celebration of life will be conducted 11:00 Tuesday, February 7, 2017 in the chapel of Forest Lawn with Dr. Michael O’Neal officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Family and friends will gather to remember Mrs. Lundy at a visitation Monday, February 6, 2017 from 4:00 until 7:00 and Tuesday, one hour prior to the service at Forest Lawn.
