Elma L. Proctor, 92, of Hendersonville, TN, passed away August 11, 2016. She was born in Petoskey, Michigan and was a member of Inglewood Baptist Church since 1956. She is preceded in death by her husbands Robert E. Proctor, retired career military and Alton Duane Howden Sr. a WWII Veteran ; brothers Floyd Meyers (Sylvia) and Leonard Myers. She is survived by her children Alton Duane Howden Jr., Judy Speight, Gary Howden (Donna), Janet Schools, Jayne Almonrode (Gary), Robert Proctor Jr.; sister Vera Brooks (Leonard); 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 2:00 of the chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home with burial following. Family will receive friends from 2-8pm on Saturday, August 13th and 12-2pm on Sunday, August 14th at Forest Lawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens.
