Emma Louise Miley

Emma Louise Girton Miley passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at the age of 80. She was born April 27, 1939 in Kingsport, Tennessee. She was married to George Robert “Bob” Miley III for 55 years before his death in April, 2018. She is survived by her sister, Irene Vance of Gallatin, Tennessee, her brother, James M. Girton and his wife, Sandy, of Whites Creek, Tennessee, and her sister, Ann Talbert and her husband, Don, of Gallatin, Tennessee.. She is also survived by her nephews, Frank “Butch” Vance III of Gallatin, Tennessee; Ben Vance and his wife, Wendy, of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, Donald P. Girton, Jr. and his wife, Martha, of Brentwood, Tennessee, Chris Talbert and his wife, Holly, of Franklin, Tennessee; and one niece, Carolyn Sellers and her husband, Stephen, of Wilmington, North Carolina. She is also survived by several great-nephews and great-nieces and several great-great nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, William M. Girton and mother, Bessie E. Murphy Girton, both of Nashville, Tennessee, her brother, Donald P. Girton, Sr. of Nashville, Tennessee and nephew, James W. Vance, of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee. Visitation will be held at Forest Lawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens in Goodlettsville, Tennessee on Friday, May 31, 2019 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will immediately follow visitation at Forest Lawn at 2:00 p.m.
