We are grateful and blessed to have known and served with Ernest at Tulip Grove Baptist Church. He was a great inspiration of how to be a life-long servant of Christ.

Grateful for Mr. Holloway's service to others in Japan and everywhere he was. Know his legacy will be passed on in his kids and grandchildren! To God be the Glory for this saint!

My wife and I were missionaries in Japan during the early years of Ernest Lee and Ida Nell's service. I was a young serviceman in the USAF seeking God's will about returning to Japan as a missionary. I will always remember the encouragement they gave me and the example of their dedicated love for the Lord and the Japanese people. That carried through all the days of  their lives. Thank you my dear friend for your faithful live.

Praise the Lord for Ernest's dedicated life of service in Japan, for  his advice to me, Rennie when I first came to Japan as a missionary, for his friendship with the Otani family and for his words of comfort to us from his cell phone at the end.

I was privileged to work with Ernest Hollaway at Okubo Baptist Mission in Tokyo Japan in 1950s-1960s.  Ernest was my senior by 10 years ahead of me at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary,,Fortworth, Texas
Under special circumstances, I had to move to Genva, Switzerland from 1964 to 1990 to work at a United Nations agency for wroking  for people
with disabilities.
I can only say that Ernest Had done a great deal of dedicated work for Christ and the Japanese people who came to believe Jesus Christ as their Saviour.

May God be with the bereaved family members for the peace and consolation which He can only give on these special days.

We very appreciate his ministry in Japan, specially his contribution to "Seisho Kyouiku". We never forget bout what he has done to us.

Dr. Hollaway will be missed by all of us at the Japan-America Society of Tennessee.  He was an exemplary role model for those of us that believe that peace begins at the personal level.  We are grateful to him for his support and life's legacy.

Words are truly inadequate to express our deep appreciation for Dr. Ernest Hollaway. But the words Godly man do describe him well. He was a most sincere servant for the Lord. He deeply loved Japanese people and Japanese churches throughout his entire life.  His humble prayers, wisdom, and steady helpful communication were what was needed to accomplish God's purpose.

Dr. Hollaway was very proud of his family and he loved you very much.  We understand how much you miss your precious one. May our Lord comfort you in this time of grief.

We praise the LORD for our predecessor in ministry in Japan, for his live, ministry, and the legacy that he leaves behind. We join in praise to God for the example that he lived and leaves behind for us. We will be praying for you all during these days and take comfort in Matthew 25:21.

Any words can not express to thank him enough.  He is the one to name"Seisho Kyoiku" Bible Education Japanese Sunday School Curriculum, he is the one to purchase the land of JBC headquaters in Shinjuku, he is the one to start Bible Class at Tokiwasai Baptist Church and through his class, many young people became pastors and Japanese Baptist leaderes till now, he is the  one love his wife and children, grandchildren and great grandchildren more than anyone else.  He is the one to love and follow Jesus Christ until his last minutes on the earth.
I miss him so much but may God be the glory.  I pray for all the family members.

I didn't get to know Uncle Earnest until the JABAS Reunions, but he quickly became one of my favorites.  What a gentle, loving, funny man!!  I will miss him greatly.  Joanne and I send you all the love we have, and wish we could be there.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you. I will miss his stories and that wonderful chuckle.
