Ernest Wayne Pruitt

Age 68 of Goodlettsville, TN peacefully departed this life at his home on Sunday morning November 26th, 2023.

Wayne is preceded in death by his wife; Madeline “Lee” Pruitt, stepson; Joseph F. Hoffman IV; his brother; Timothy Dale Pruitt.

He is survived by his wife, Rhonda Timmons Pruitt; his two daughters, Christie & Jeremy Townes of Hendersonville, Lisa & Jason Tolbert of Clarksville, stepchildren; Sarah Preston and David Preston; Sister & Niece, Robbie P. Hutton & Brandie Broersma (Will) of Tullahoma; Eight grandchildren, Sidney Raines (Michael) Adrienne Raines (TC) Alexandra Raines (Brandon) Clara Tobitt, Austin, Ethan, Joslyn, & Brayli Townes; Three great-grandchildren; Kainen Laci, Colton Layne, Grayson Michael; Great niece, Adeline;Great nephew, Will. A host of dear friends whom adored Wayne to the fullest.

The eldest brother born in the summer of 1955 to Ernest & Gearl Pruitt spending time with his parents & younger siblings Wayne grew up with a love for the lake, guns, & riding Harley Davidson motorcycles. He graduated from Goodlettsville High school in 1973. His love for his daughters Christie & Aleisha allowed for always having much family time. Wayne worked his way to become Project Manager at Wasco Inc. until his time of retirement in December 2017, he hung his hat up after 30+ years of service. Wayne decided to take sometime to enjoy his love for his wife Rhonda, tending his garden, & where they could travel to next. Among many things, Wayne enjoyed becoming the grill master on holidays for his family. His girls & grandkids were the apple of his eye.

A Celebration of Life service will be conducted 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive guest prior to the service from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at funeral home.
