Euneta Orene Kirby, age 92, passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2019. She was born Friday, December 10, 1926, in Cookeville, Tennessee; she is preceded in death by her parents, Sam Paskel and Cora Belle Barnes Adams and husband, Beecher Ray "Bashful Brother Oswald" Kirby. Mrs. Kirby was a manager for Woolworths in both Muncie, Indiana and Nashville, Tennessee; she enjoyed traveling out west, western movies, the Grand Ole Opry and pickins. In her travels she met Roy Rogers, Gene Autry, and President George H. W. Bush, President George W. Bush and Tommy Lasorda; making friends wherever she went. Mrs. Kirby is survived by her children, Judy Lovvron, Hermitage, Tennessee, Earl (Wanda) Phillips, Burnes, Tennessee, Zerrell Phillips, Naples, Florida; sister, Peggy Fragopoulos; brother, Hugh Adams, Cookeville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Dean Smith, Jessica Smith, Josh Phillips, Kaycee Barnabi; great-grandchildren, Erin, Eric, Evan, Eyan Smith, Zoey, Janie Phillips, Alyvia and Wesley Barnabi. A celebration of Life will be conducted 2:00 Monday, June 3, 2019 in the chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Rev. Dwayne Tyus officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, family requests memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital. Family and friends will gather to remember Mrs. Kirby at a visitation Monday, June 3, 2019 from 12:00 until the 2:00 service at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1150 South Dickerson Road, Goodlettsville, Tennessee
