Evelyn DeLancey Meadors, 90, of Easton, Pennsylvania, entered her heavenly home on Saturday, January 17, 2026. Born on Monday, November 18, 1935, in Columbia, Mississippi, Evelyn lived a long and faith filled life marked by devotion to her family, her country, and her Lord.
A strong Christian throughout her life, Evelyn was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Easton. Her faith guided her daily, and she leaves behind a legacy centered on her love for Jesus and the kindness, generosity, and steadfastness she showed to all who knew her.
Evelyn proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from 1954 to 1955. During her service at Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, North Carolina, she met the love of her life, Ross Meadors. They married shortly thereafter and shared 68 wonderful years together until Ross’s passing in 2024.
After leaving the Marines to begin her married life, Evelyn embraced her role as a devoted wife and mother, supporting Ross through his military and post-military careers and lovingly tending to their home and children. Their life of service took them around the world, including time spent in France, Germany, and numerous locations across the United States. After retirement, Evelyn and Ross continued their adventures, traveling often—Yellowstone being one of Evelyn’s most cherished destinations—and visiting family whenever possible.
Evelyn is survived by her son Ron Meadors and wife Lynn of Dayton, Nevada; her daughter Pam Raymond and husband Mike of Easton, Pennsylvania; her grandsons Brady Raymond and partner Emily; and Shane Raymond and wife Shannon, and her great grandson, Cormack Raymond. She treasured her family deeply and took immense joy in each generation.
Evelyn will be missed terribly by those who loved her. Her strength, her faith, and her unwavering love for her family will continue to inspire all who were blessed to be a part of her life.
A visitation will be held at Forest Lawn Funeral Home on February 5, 2026, from 10:00 am to 12:00 am. Following the visitation, a Celebration of Life will take place at the same venue starting at 12:00 pm.
Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in the Garden of Devotion II.
