

Fitzhugh Carlos Carter, age 72, left this world to be with his Heavenly Father for eternity, Wednesday, May 7, 2014. He was born in Hampton Roads, Virginia Wednesday, August 27, 1941 to the late Harold W. and Abigail Simpson Carter and also preceded by a sister.
Carlos graduated from Father Ryan High School in 1959; joined the US Army in 1960 and was in Korea during the conflict. He was very patriotic and felt very honored to serve his country. He worked at the VA Hospital after he completed his military service.
Carlos had many friends that loved him; he was known for his big smiles, upbeat attitude and love for music. He was a very loving, caring and giving person. Carlos is survived by a brother, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted 2:00 Monday, May 12, 2014 in the chapel of Forest Lawn with Father Tomy Joseph and Perry Happle officiating.
Burial with Militay Honors will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Family and friends will gather to remember Carlos two hours prior to the 2:00 service to remember Carlos at Forest Lawn Funeral Home 1150 South Dickerson Rd. Goodlettsville, TN.
The family would like to thank the Veterans Hospital, Murfreesboro, Third Floor Hospice Nurses and staff for all the excellent, compassionate care Carlos received during his stay.
