

Floyd Lawrence Carlton, Sr., age 91, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2016. He was born Sunday, April 19, 1925 in Nashville, Tennessee he is preceded in death by his parents, Lillian Lovell and Herman Carlton, Sr.; his wife, Dorothy Carlton; great-granddaughter, Wyncie Bouge.
Mr. Carlton is survived by his son, Floyd L. (Larry) Carlton, Jr. and his wife Kaye; daughter, Linda Mencer and her fiancé Charles; grandson, Nathan Carlton; granddaughters, Lisa Mull and her husband Jeff, Amy Mencer, Megan Bouge and her husband Brandon; great-grandchildren, Kody Hinkle, Allie Mull, Rhylyn Carlton and Emmett Bouge.
Mr. Carlton was a 1943 graduate of Isaac Litton High School; A veteran of the US Army and WWII. He was a retired engineer from Aladdin Industries after many years. Mr. Carlton enjoyed music and played the piano and accordion.
A celebration of life will be conducted 2:00 Wednesday, May 4, 2016 in the chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Jeff DeWees officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
