Red worked for DuPont; enjoyed camping and was a member of National Camping and Hikers Associations (NCHA); he and Virginia loved to entertain and performed as "The Kountry Kouple".
Red is survived by his wife of 48 years, Virginia Pentecost Denton; sister, Martha Elizabeth Smith; brother, Bennie Denton; grandson, Eric (Ashley) Bright; step-daughter, Nancy (Jonathan) Brannan; 12 great-grandchildren.
Family and friends will gather to remember and celebrate Red's life Sunday, July 12, 2015 from 2:00 - 5:00 at Clarksville Hwy Church of Christ 5444 Hwy 41A, Joelton, TN.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Kidney Foundation.
