Forrestine Snyder

Forrestine Snyder, age 83, of Hendersonville, Tennessee, passed away on May 21, 2026. Born in 1943, Forrestine lived a life rooted in faith, family, and quiet devotion to the people she loved most. She will be remembered for her steady presence, kind heart, and the simple ways she cared for those around her throughout her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hobert and Lucy Winfrey; and her brothers and sisters, Bobby Winfrey, Marie Sosh, Judy Nalls, Paul Winfrey, Junior Winfrey, Brittany Oliver, and Herman Winfrey.

Forrestine is survived by her sons, Troy (Judy) Snyder and Bryan (Heidi) Snyder; grandchildren, Josh (Kerstin) Snyder, Chase (Abbie) Snyder, Heath (Lauren) Snyder, and Evan Snyder; and great-grandchildren, Kennedy Snyder and Macy Lea Snyder.

Growing up in North Nashville, Forrestine later made her home in Goodlettsville, where she built a life centered around her faith and family. She was an avid member of the Goodlettsville Church of Christ and spent much of her time reading her Bible, finding comfort and strength in her faith throughout the years.

Forrestine dedicated 43 years of service to Premier Orthopedics, a reflection of her strong work ethic and dependable nature. Outside of work, she loved to read and treasured spending time with her family. One of her favorite traditions was going out to dinner on Friday nights with her brothers, sisters, and their families, moments that became some of her most cherished memories.

She also loved to travel, especially trips to the beach, where she found peace and happiness listening to the waves and enjoying time away with those she loved.

Visitation for Forrestine Snyder will be held at Forest Lawn Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 1150 South Dickerson Road, Goodlettsville, Tennessee 37072, on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM, and again on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM. A funeral service will begin at 12:00 PM on Wednesday in the funeral home chapel.
