Geneva Williams Young, age 97, passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2017. She was born Saturday, September 27, 1919 in Dickson County, Tennessee to the late Early Madison and Eva Thelma Holloway Williams;and is also preceded in death by her husband, James W. Young; her brother, Harry Nichols Williams and sister, Earline Carpenter.
A home maker, Mrs. Young, affectionately known as Mamaw, enjoyed crochet, knitting, the occasional trip to the casino, sitting on the front porch visiting with neighbors. But, she especially enjoyed spending her time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Young is survived by her son, Allen Young; granddaughter, Lisa Denny; grandson, Jason Young; great-grandchildren, Mason Denny, Christian Walden, Belle Ann Young and Jacob Young.
Family and friends will gather to remember Mrs. Young at a visitation, Friday, February 10, 2017 from 4:00 until 8:00 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 2:00 in the chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
