George Morris Slater passed away suddenly at his home on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at the age of 74. He was predeceased by his parents, Morris Franklin Slater and Beulah Gertrude Slater. He was also predeceased by his sister, Alice Slater Harris and brothers Walter Slater, Wallace Slater and James Slater. George held a Bachelors Degree from MTSU in Psychology and served in the Marine Corps. He was born in Madison, TN and was a lifelong resident there. He is survived by his stepson John David Collins; granddaughters Hannah and Allie Collins; nephews Tom Harris and Alan Slater; nieces Diane Smith, Linda Cole, Eileen Harris, Mary Kay Peters, Shari Kirker and Tania McMillan. Also missing him are a multitude of great nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed as he was the one that bound the family together in communication.
