Geraldine is my mother-in-law, but more than that, my close friend for over50 years. She and I never had serious argument. Never. She let me marry Debbie, the best thing I ever did.

She and James always treated me like their son. Debbie and I (and everybody in the family) could always count on her and James. Any time we needed help, they were available on a moment's notice. Their generosity had no limits.

James and Geraldine supported his mother for years, her mother for years, his brother, and any family members that needed help. Family always came first.

Both James and Geraldine loved their grandchildren. They always volunteered to keep any of their grandchildren and great grandchildren.. All of the them loved Papaw and Momaw and would often cry when they had to go home.

James and Geraldine belonged to the Greatest Generation. They grew up in poverty during the Great Depression, worked very hard and achieved the American dream. They were able to travel, enjoy life and were well prepared for their retirement years.

I could write a book, but not your enough room here.

Not many men can say they love their mother-in-law. I do, and I just don't have the vocabulary to explain how much. Geraldine was my buddy for over 50 years and I will miss her. Hopefully the great memories will offset some of the pain of losing her.
