Gloria was born in Newark, New Jersey on August 20, 1933 and at eighteen years of age became the wife of Dominick DiMeola whom she married at St. Lucy’s Roman Catholic Church. Her long life was filled with happiness as the Italian wife of a Luxury Shoe Master Craftsman. A quiet and kind woman, she simply basked in Dominick’s limelight as he traveled the nation representing Johnson and Murphy as their Master Craftsman. Her home was filled with his bowling trophies, newspaper articles and brochures sharing his career. She had a prayerful life, enjoyed weekly Mass at Saint Joseph Church, being a mother to her three children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and was by far the best Italian cook this side of Italy.
