Helen was born to her proud parents, Frank Odell Moore and Lucy Beasley Heughan, on August 15, 1943 in Goodlettsville, Tennessee. When her youngest child got to the 9th grade, she began working for the Davidson County Schools in the cafeteria helping serve hungry children at different school locations. She then became employed at Castner Knotts at Rivergate in the salon as the housekeeper and worked there for many years, transferring to the Dillard's Hair Salon once Castner Knotts closed. She was well loved and respected by all -- not by just those she worked with but, also, the customers as well. Helen was a strong lady of faith with her major achievements being in raising her two children to know Jesus and taking care of her hard working husband. She was a major Tennessee Titans fan and spent many hours in prayer for her family throughout the years. Helen is survived by her husband of 60 years, Cecil Kenneth McBroom, son Kenneth Wayne (Gloria) McBroom, daughter, Linda Ruth (Phillip) Anderson, her step-grandchildren Joe Martin, Philip (Christy) Martin, Michelle (David) Lawson, 8 step-great grandchildren, sister Bertie (Donald) Carney, sister in law Trish Clinard, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Helen was preceded in death by parents, Frank and Lucy Moore, her brother Russell (Faye) Moore and many sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws along with several nephews and nieces.
