James Glover Long, age 88, passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2014 in Gainesboro, TN. Mr. Long was born in Jackson County, TN sunday, October 17, 1925 and is preceded in death by his parents, Vergil and Fronnie Richardson Long; his wife, Sadie Mai and his son Danny.
He is a veteran of the US Army, he worked for some 20 years for Genesco and retired from Armstorng Rubber and Tire after another 20 years. He is survived by his children, Ted (Gayle) Coleman, James (Nancy) Long, Susan (Timmy) Lee, Brodie (Mevella) Wilkinson; six grandchildren, Jason, Amanda, Samantha, Charity, Patrick, Brody Jr; and 9 great-grandchildren, Austin, Brayden (aka Boss Hog), Jeffery, Dylan, Chayton, Charlie, Chayva, BR, Lane.
A celebration of life will be held 2:00 Friday, September 26, 2014 in the chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
