James Foster Montgomery was born on Sunday, August 4, 1940, in White Bluff, Tennessee. A resident of White House, Tennessee James passed away on Monday, December 1, 2025, at the age of 85. He is preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Jeanette Montgomery; his father, James M. Montgomery; mother, Lillian Frances Hutton Montgomery and great-grandson, Wyatt Fuson.
He leaves behind his children, Michelle Smith, and Tony Montgomery (Laura). He was the proud grandfather of Amber Cole (Blake), Shelby Fuson (Chris), Ryan Montgomery (Bethany), Hailey Montgomery, Misty Dangerfield, Crystal Howell, Chelsea Smith and Britney Smith. His great grandchildren are Emilia, Asher, Jayden, Jaxon, Aiden, Dallas, and Scharlette; great-grandson, Lucas Montgomery.
A visitation will be held at Forest Lawn Funeral Home on December 5, 2025, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. A Celebration of Life will follow at 12:00 pm.
Burial will take place in the Garden of Gethsemane at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
