James J. Swindle, age 89, passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2018. Born in Hartsville, Tennessee Sunday, October 7, 1928 he is preceded in death by his wife Freda Swindle; parents, Vestle and Beulah Wright Swindle and sister, Jeanette Patton.
He is survived by his daughter, Jackie (Gene) Nickens; granddaughter, Beth Johnson; grandson, Marshall (Melissa) Nickens; great-grandchildren, Justin Johnson, Cody Johnson, Brock Nickens, Brody Nickens; sister, Lois Betty; brothers-in- law, Harold Patton and Clarence Litton; nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be conducted 2:00 Saturday, September 29, 2018 in Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Serving as pallbearers are: Eddie Litton, James Tribble, Jimmy Tribble, Don Brown, Larry Hall, Steve Pemberton, Justin Johnson, Cody Johnson, Brock Nickens, Brody Nickens.
Visitation will be Friday, September 28, 2018 from 4:00 until 8:00 and Saturday, September 29, 2018 from 12:00 until 2:00.
