Jasen lived a full and vibrant life. He attended Tennessee Tech and the University of Alabama in pursuit of a degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. Having fallen in love with technology before college, he parlayed his passion for mechanical engineering into a successful career. Over the past two decades, he forged a successful career in the tech industry, specializing in technical sales and engineering roles within renowned companies, including HP, Dell, and Commvault. Beginning as an entry-level inside sales professional, he climbed the ranks to become a senior outside sales engineer, consistently exceeding expectations. His passion for music, literature, technology, and a perfectly timed—often corny—joke, a blend of his father's and mother's sense of humor, were central themes in his life.
He had an extremely huge heart and he loved intensely, and he was as stubborn as one must be to love as intentionally as he did. He was a massive light in this world and he will continue to shine the way for generations to come.
Jasen is survived by his partner Ashley Barbier, as well as his loving family members, including his father Garland Brooks I; sister Charla (Brent) Tyre, and brothers Jeff (Shana), Tracy (Maureen) and Garland (Callie) Brooks II. He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Anne Brooks; and his brother, Gary Patrick Brooks. Jasen will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
A visitation with the family will be held on Friday, January 5, 2024 from 12pm - 2pm, followed by a funeral memorial service to begin at 2pm, all at Forest Lawn Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 1150 S. Dickerson Pike, Goodlettsville, TN.
The family requests that any monetary donations may be made in memory of Jasen Brooks through a GoFundMe account called "The Fellowship of the Jasen" at https://gofund.me/fdbaf9fa and will be used in support of his memorial and to help ease Ashley’s burden.
The family appreciates the love and support during this difficult time. For condolences or inquiries, please contact Garland Brooks II at [email protected].
Jasen may not be with us anymore, but his love for music and a corny joke will live in our hearts forever.
