J.D. Jones

J.D. Jones, age 89, of Cottontown, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2022. J.D. was born in Cottontown, Tennessee, Sunday, November 12, 1933. He is preceded in death by his parents, Dock Benton Jones and Annie Mercedes Williamson Jones and nine siblings.

J. D. retired from the United States Air Force and is survived by his wife of 71 years Mamie Jones; daughter, Teresa (Robert) Minick; son, Donny Jones; granddaughter, Amanda Kate Jones; grandson, Robert Minick, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Layla Grace Ferguson, Jacob Dillon Lee, Dustin Minick, William Alan Minick; sister, Mae Brooks; brother, Jack (Frances) Jones.

A visitation for J.D. will be held Tuesday, December 13, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Goodlettsville, Tennessee.

A celebration of life will occur Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Goodlettsville, Tennessee.

J.D. will be laid to rest in Jake Link Cemetery, 411 Jake Link Rd, Cottontown, Tennessee at 1:00 PM. with full Military Honors.
