Mrs. Burns worked as Payroll Clerk for Life and Casualty Insurance; National Life and Accident Insurance and then on to retire from American General Insurance Company.
Mrs. Burns is survived by her husband of 55 years, Robert C. Burns; her sister, Barbara Self and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be Friday, September 19, 2014 in the chapel of Forest Lawn with Bro. Ronnie Banks officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Family and friends will gather to remember Mrs. Burns at a visitation this afternoon, Thursday, September 18, 2014 from 4:00 until 8:00 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home 1150 S. Dickerson Rd. Goodlettsville, TN
