For the small while I knew him, Papaw was such a gentle and loving man. He had this special way of making everyone in the room feel better by his presence. He went out of his way to include everyone and leave them better than he had fouund them. I remember how he use to make little jokes and would thereafter chuckle from such a depth of happiness. My deepest sympathies go to the all the lives he touched in his legacy of a life well lived.

Jerry is my sister's husband but he was at times more like a daddy to me. I was only 6 yrs old when they married and didn't like my sister moving out of the house without taking me. But no worries. I could go spend a night or a whole week with them anytime I wanted. Jerry always welcomed me. He always tried to keep me straight😄. My best memory of Jerry was getting baptised along with him in a muddy, nasty pond in Geneva, Ky. I was afraid of the water and Jerry hated the slime but the Holy Spirit pulled us both through. I can remember that day even though it was 60 years ago. So many more memories but that is the most vivid one to me. Love you Jerry. Rest in peace.
