Jewel Vivian Hobbs - age 96 went home to the Lord on Monday, December 3, 2012. Born in McEwen, Tennessee Sunday, September 24, 1916 she was preceded in death by her husband Hazle Perry Hobbs; her parents, Horace Anderson and Minnie Ella Slaughter Perry; and nine siblings.
A member of Bible Baptist Church, Hendersonville; she is survived by daughter, Janice (Jerry) Filson; son , Randall Hobbs; Nanny will be greatly missed by five grandchildren who cherished her, Julie Filson, Jason (Lorrie) Filson, Jennifer (Mike) Troth, Lindsey Hobbs, Christopher Hobbs. She dearly loved her six great-grandchildren, Noah, Gabe, Graham, Alexandria, Emily and Jacoby.
Funeral services will be 12:00 Thursday, December 6, 2012 in the chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Crockett officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Family and friends will gather for a visitation Wednesday, December 5, 2012 from 4:00 until 8:00 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home 1150 South Dickerson Rd. Goodlettsville, TN
