Jimmy is survived by his wife of 41 years, Tricia Abernathy; daughters, Trina (Bobby) Blankenship, Angie (Adam) Helton; grandchildren, Nicholas, Tyler, Emma, Ian and Ellis.
Jimmy loved his family and friends, playing the drums and most importantly, he loved Jesus. He was a proud deacon at Parkway Baptist Church and an active Gideon.
A celebration of life will be conducted 11:00 Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Parkway Baptist Church 505 Cunniff Parkway, Goodlettsville with Rev. Ken Castleberry officiating.
A gathering of friends to remember Jimmy will be from 10:00 until the 11:00 service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Gideon’s International of Tennessee.
