HACKNEY, Joe David “J.D.” age 87 passed away on November `17, 2012 in Mt. Juliet, TN. Preceded in death by his parents, Prentiss and E. Gracie Fentress Hackney and a son Joe David Hackney Jr.; survived by his loving wife Catherine Birdwell Hackney; daughters, Cathy Elaine Hackney and Cheryl Lynn (John R.) Stone; grandchildren, Ross D. and Chelsia L. Stone. Joe served his country in the US Navy during WWII as a Signalman. Funeral service will be conducted by Brother Jim Day and Greg Rumburg on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at 2:00 PM, with visitation Monday and Tuesday from 4 – 8, and Wednesday from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home.

Cathy, I feel your pain on the lose of your beloved dad. I know you will miss him but he will always be in your heart and your memories. Like my parents are always in my toughts and it is especialy tough this time of the year. Mom has been gone now 5 years on November 7 and the first Thanksgiving without was really sad. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
